Experience Something Amazing Today

Experience days info

Welcome to our Diamond Centre EXPERIENCE DAYS, come and see us and create your very own piece of jewellery, to take home and show off your newly found goldsmith skills to your friends and family.

You will be in a small tailored group, and be guided through each step of the way by an experienced professional.

At the Diamond Centre we understand the importance of sustainability and recognise our corporate responsibility, all materials used are 100% recycled, 100% traceable and 100% audited using Eco silver supplied by Cookson’s gold.

Choose between a bangle, stacker rings or cufflinks, each experience will give you an insight to the skills needed for silver soldering, filing, saw piercing and polishing.

Choose between 3 finishes to truly customize you piece.

While making the bangle, stacker rings or cufflinks you will be guided by a professional goldsmith throughout your experience. You will use traditional techniques of sawing, soldering filing, using emery paper and polishing your chosen keep sake then finalising your chosen finish.

Sessions will last approximately 4 hours with a break in the middle where refreshments will be provided.

PPE that will be supplied.

PPE – Personal Protection Equipment – This is the basic stuff that will protect you as you make and polish your jewellery.

Safety glasses are useful for all sorts of jewellery making, polishing included. I’ve lost count of the number of times a small piece of jewellery has pinged its way off my bench as I polish. Those safety glasses are there to protect your eyes.

Dust masks not only keep those dust particles out of your lungs, but they also keep your face clean as you polish. You can buy disposable ones which are good for occasional use. If you start to produce jewellery on bigger scale, or feel you need maximum protection, you can also buy respirator masks which you can re-use and replace the filters.

Finger protectors are useful when polishing. Jewellery gets hot as you polish, so these are designed to stop this happening. They also keep your fingers clean. DO NOT WEAR GLOVES to polish. If the glove gets caught it could cause injury.
